Cataract Surgery

Cataract Surgery

Your comfort and safety are top priorities for us. You will have anesthesia according to your need and desire to provide an anxiety-free painless surgery. Cataract surgery itself is performed through a tiny incision created painlessly using numbing drops. The cataract is dissolved using ultrasonic vibrations. The surgery usually takes less than ten minutes. Sutures are not required as the wound is self-healing.

Dr. Teed was named one of the top 100 implant surgeons of the market-leading Acrysof lens. Dr. Teed will personally examine your eyes and discuss with you whether cataract surgery will benefit you. Sometimes a change in glasses is all that is needed. Dr. Teed will advise you exactly as he would want done if he or a family member were considering surgery.

Cataracts are a clouding of the eye’s natural lens. As a patient develops a cataract, they often have trouble driving at night due to glare. It is also common to have trouble reading or seeing the television clearly. As these daily activities become more difficult, most patients consider cataract surgery.

There are no drops or medications that will treat cataracts. Dr. Teed will be happy to discuss your cataract with you and help you decide the best plan for you and your potential vision correction. He currently performs cataract surgery in Arkadelphia and Nashville.
